Edinburgh dominated the first three days, finishing 17 points ahead of Southampton Green. Apart from Wednesday, the teams enjoyed great racing in their hired Sunsail F40s. Only one race proved possible in the light winds on Wednesday, so the PRO cancelled the long 4-hour coastal race. The Race Committee split the fleet on Wednesday night for the final set of three no-discard races on Thursday. Each team carried forward their ranking based on the first three days of racing.

Thursday’s racing gave rise to a good many place changes, with some teams slipping and some climbing. Cambridge scored a very solid 4th, 4th, 1st to jump 4 places from their initial 6th ranking. Oxford Blue scored 5th, 2nd, 9th to finish up just one point behind Bronze Medallists Southampton Red.

The second Oxford (White) team finished a creditable 13th overall in the Trophy Fleet. Congratulations and many thanks to BUSA and its helpers on running an excellent championships. Detailed reports and results will be available for a time via the BUSA website.
