Apart from Wednesday, the teams enjoyed great racing in their hired Sunsail F40s. Only one race proved possible in the light winds on Wednesday, so the PRO cancelled the long 4-hour coastal race. The Race Committee split the fleet on Wednesday night for the final set of three no-discard races on Thursday. Each team carried forward their ranking based on the first three days of racing.
Thursday’s racing gave rise to a good many place changes, with some teams slipping and some climbing. Cambridge scored a very solid 4th, 4th, 1st to jump 4 places from their initial 6th ranking. Oxford Blue scored 5th, 2nd, 9th to finish up just one point behind Bronze Medallists Southampton Red.
The second Oxford (White) team finished a creditable 13th overall in the Trophy Fleet. Congratulations and many thanks to BUSA and its helpers on running an excellent championships. Detailed reports and results will be available for a time via the BUSA website.
Well done both teams. Looking forward to Varsity Match!
Great result. Congratulations everyone!
