A Cambridge Mid-10s team ran out winners in the 2022 Generations event held at Farmoor on 1 October 2022 – defeating Oxford 90s in the final. It was a great day for sailing with sunshine and good (though sometimes gusty) winds, and all 9 teams entered thoroughly enjoyed the day. Prizes, generously donated by Salcombe Gin yet again, were a feature of the event.
The sailing was followed by a very convivial and well-attended dinner in St Anne’s College, with a liberal supply of Society port. The AGM also took place, and Anthony Butler was presented with a copy of Keith Shackleton’s book ‘Wake’ – to mark his 23 years service to the Society in various roles.
Congratulations and many thanks to Ben Rahemtulla, Kathryn Twemlow and their team of Oxford and Cambridge helpers on organising and running an excellent event. Many thanks also to Oxford SC on making their fine facilities available for yet another year.
