Congratulations to President Patrick Bird, Virginia Bird, and their team of sailors and international runners on finishing 7th out of 40 entrants in the annual (and very tough) Scottish Islands Peaks Race held 19/21 May 2019.
The race comprises 140 miles of passage racing from Oban to Troon, with 3 stops to race up some of Scotland’s most spectacular peaks. Racing was closely fought on the water and in the hills, with frequent place changes right up to the finishing line.
